Astro Bot has a Photo Mode feature, but it isn’t unlocked right away. Additionally, some trophies require this feature to be unlocked. If you’re a trophy hunter, you’ll definitely want to get this feature. Here I’ll guide you through unlocking Photo Mode, snapping some jaw-dropping shots, and grabbing those Trophies like a pro.
Unlocking Photo Mode – The First Step
Alright, before you can start taking in-game selfies of Astro Bot, you’ll need to unlock Photo Mode.
First You’ve got to build and visit the Safari Park at the Crash Site. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, there’s a bit of work involved.
To get into the Safari Park, you’ll need to collect 64 Puzzle Pieces.
That’s more than half of the total 120 scattered throughout the game.
So, yeah, it’ll take some time, but it’s totally doable if you’re up for a bit of a scavenger hunt.
Once you’ve got those Puzzle Pieces, head to the Crash Site, build that Safari Park, and grab the camera sitting near the entrance.
By the way, if you’re hoping to get to Photo Mode as fast as possible, the earliest you can unlock it is after reaching the Camo Cosmos galaxy.
So, keep an eye on your progress there.
Using Photo Mode – Once you unlocked it
Once you’ve unlocked Photo Mode, it’s time to put that camera to good use.
Just press Up on the D-Pad, and boom – you’re in!
Now, Astro Bot’s Photo Mode might not be as fancy as what you’ve seen in other games, but it gets the job done.
You can adjust the camera’s height with the left shoulder buttons and snap photos by hitting R2. Simple, right?
The Trophies which require the photo mod
Now, let’s talk Trophies because, let’s be honest, that’s what you’re really here for.
Strike A Pose! and Thick As Thieves are two Trophies that need Photo Mode to unlock.
For the Strike A Pose! trophie, you’ll need to find one of the game’s many photo spots and take a pic.
These photo spots can be visited in various stages or even within the Safari Park itself.
As for Thick As Thieves, this one’s a bit more specific.
You’ll need to snap a photo of Nathan Drake (yep, that Nathan Drake) after rescuing him in the Lady Venomara stage.
Oh, and don’t forget Lara Croft – she’s hanging out in the Heiroglitch Pyramid stage.
Take a shot of both, and then– Trophy unlocked.
Unlocking Photo Mode might take a little legwork, but once you’ve got it, snapping those pics for the Trophies is a real easy thing to achieve.
