Have you’ve ever started an MMO only to realize your friends are all playing on a different server?
Just like any other MMO, In Throne and Liberty your server choice can make or break your gaming experience. Becouse, After all, what’s the point of grinding for the loot if your buddies aren’t there to share it?
Now, right at the start of this game, you’re asked to pick a server from a big ol’ list.
Naturally, there’s a chance you might pick the wrong one. But Don’t sweat it if did the same, there’s a way to fix that!
So, How Do You Change Servers?
Switching servers in Throne and Liberty isn’t a Herculean task. But there is a catch.
The catch is you’ve gotta buy a ticket. But don’t worry, it’s not as bad as it sounds and at least for now, its free.
Let’s me walk you through it:
Step 1 – Buy a Server Transfer Ticket
Just like changing your character’s look in Throne and Liberty, you’ll need a Server Transfer Ticket to make the jump to a new server.
For now these tickets are free! Unlike the pricey cosmetic changes that’ll cost you 750 Lucent.
To get yours, Simply go to your main menu, hop into the Shop, and scroll through the Consumables section.
There You’ll spot the Server Transfer Ticket.
Step 2 – Meet the Requirements
Now, before you hit that “Change Server” button, there are a few hoops you’ve gotta jump through.
Again, Don’t worry, though—this isn’t some impossible quest chain.
You just need to check off these boxes:
- Be level one or higher.
- Make sure you’re hanging out in a safe zone.
- Claim any Auction House items you’ve got lying around.
- Leave your current party or guild (this one’s important—nobody likes a guild hopper).
- Remove any pending guild applications.
- Don’t forget to grab all your mail, Shop Storage Chests, and Gate of Infinity rewards.
Once you’ve cleared this checklist, you’re ready to make the switch!
Step 3 – Make the Switch
After buying the ticket and meeting the requirements, go back to the Store, and look at the top right corner.
You’ll see a button that says Change Servers.
Hit that, and you’ll see a list of all available servers.
Now, take a deep breath before you pick.
While you might be tempted to just jump on any server, you’ll wanna choose wisely.
Only two servers are up for grabs right now, and while you can hang on to one extra ticket for a backup plan, nobody wants to waste it, right?
Which Server Should You Pick?
With a bunch of servers to choose from, how do you decide? Well, if you’re not joining your friends online, the smart move is to pick a server closest to where you live
Lower ping means less lag, and in an MMO, lag is the real final boss, am I right?
But there’s more to it. How busy a server is can make a huge difference in your experience.
If a server is busy it means there are more players to team up and interact. But it might also mean longer wait times, So if you are someone who hates waiting, avoid these servers.
On the flip side, a quieter server makes it easier to log in, but it might feel a bit like a ghost town.
