In Black Myth: Wukong while some bosses are tucked away in secret spots, others, like Non-Able, are just hanging out in random corners of the map, daring you to find them. But don’t you worry, if you’re up for a little adventure off the beaten path, I’ve got you covered.
Let’s hunt down Non-Able and figure out how to take him down.
How can you Find Non-Able in Black Myth: Wukong?
First things first, you’re going to need to get to Chapter 3 and head to the Valley of Ecstasy.
If you’re like me, you’ll probably feel a bit smug when the game slaps that location name across your screen as you slide down a snow-covered slope like some kind of action hero.
But don’t get too cozy—the real fun’s just beginning.
When you hit the bottom, follow that little firefly trail (because let’s be honest, without that trail, we’d all be lost) to the Forest of Felicity Shrine.
It’s a mouthful, but it’s important because this is where you’ll spot the path leading to the Fox Quest.
Now, here’s where things get tricky: instead of following that path, take a sharp right turn, head down the trail, and eventually, you’ll find yourself at a bridge.
Cross the bridge, and—there’s the Brook of Bliss Shrine, chilling slightly to the left.
Hit up that shrine, then take the stairs to your right.
Turn left when you hit the top, follow the path uphill, and before you know it, you’ll be face-to-face with a building.
And guess who’s kneeling in the open area in front of it? Yep, Non-Able, just waiting for you there.
How to Beat Non-Able in Black Myth: Wukong
Okay, so you’ve found him. It’s time to prepare because this fight is no cakewalk.
Non-Able’s got two forms, and trust me, the second one is where things really hit the fan.
Preparation for the Battle
Before you even think about rushing in, make sure you’ve got the Wandering Wight spirit equipped.
Why? Because its passive protection against any serious damage.
Oh, and if you’ve already taken down Guangzhi, you’ve likely snagged the Red Tides transformation, which is going to be your best friend in this fight.
Armor-wise, forget about fancy perks—just go for whatever offers the best defense. You’re going to take hits, so you’ll want to soak up as much damage as possible and heal with your gourd when your health dips. As for your stats, dump a ton into Pluck of Many because you’re going to need all the damage you can get.
Oh, and don’t forget to pop some damage-boosting medicine before you face off with Non-Able. It’s like drinking an energy drink before running a marathon—it won’t fix everything, but it’ll help.
Fighting the first form of Non-Able’s First Form
Non-Able starts off pretty tame, but don’t let that fool you. He’ll telegraph his attacks, which are slow but pack a punch, so use this first phase to get a feel for his patterns. And hey, since there’s a shrine nearby, don’t stress too much about dying a few times. Consider it practice for the real fight that’s coming.
Now, if you’re facing him early on, make sure you’ve saved enough mana to use Immobilize and Pluck of Many—but save these for his second phase. Trust me, you’ll need them.
Fighting the Non-Able’s Second Form
Once you knock out his first health bar, Non-Able’s going to get serious.
We’re talking about a total personality switch here—he’s faster, more agile, and his attacks are way harder to predict.
He might as well have had a triple espresso between phases because he’s coming at you like a caffeinated squirrel.
Now’s the time to go all-in with your abilities. As soon as Non-Able’s idle (he’ll do that every now and then, like he’s giving you a breather—how kind), hit him with Pluck of Many.
Once your clones are in the mix, use Immobilize to hold him in place and follow up with the Wandering Wight’s headbutt attack.
If you’ve got the Wind Tamer vessel from Chapter 2, or even better, the Plantain Fan vessel from Chapter 5, those will come in clutch here.
You have to take him down using transformation, clones and spirit attacks.
But if you turn back to your regular self, focus on dodging like your life depends on it—because it kind of does.
Non-Able’s combos can be tough to read, but most of them end with a ground slam or a brief pause.
That’s your window. Dodge, strike, and repeat until he’s down for the count.
Reward when you defeated him
So, you’ve finally taken down Non-Able (and probably let out a victory yell while you’re at it). What’s in it for you?
You’ll snag some materials to cultivate your favorite spirits and get the Non-Able spirit, which launches a brutal barrage of attacks when activated.
Also, it gives you a nice boost to your Attack, Critical Hit Chance, and Critical Hit Damage.
Equipping this bad boy will tank your Maximum Mana, so if you’re rocking a mana-heavy build, you might want to pass.
