Throne and Liberty is a massive MMO that throws you into a bunch of different servers spread out across different regions. It gives you option to totally go solo, but come on—who doesn’t want to roll with a squad or join a guild to take on the big stuff?
Specially when the game in question is MMO.
Naturally, with with this game available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the big question is: can you play with friends on other platforms?
Thankfully, the crossplay system here is pretty straightforward. Let’s break it down.
Does Throne and Liberty Have Crossplay?
Short answer? Yes! Throne and Liberty does have crossplay, and it’s always on.
You don’t need to head deeper into a settings menu or search for some hidden toggle.
As soon as you’ve created your character and picked your server, you’re good to go.
It automatically pair you with game all across diffrenct gaming system, it doesn’t matter whether your friends are on console or PC, you’ll all be playing together, and the fun part—you won’t even know who’s playing on which device.
However, you must be on the same server as your friends. Well it is pretty obvious but the real hurdle is Servers are tied to regions, and once you pick one, there’s no going back.
It might be no problem for you if your buddies do belong to same region but if they are living in different regions, you need to change Throne and Liberty Server in order to play this game together.
Now, there’s a slight exception here—every region has one server that’s exclusive to PlayStation.
If you spot a server with a PlayStation logo next to the name, that’s the VIP lounge for Sony fans only. No crossplay there. But other than that, you’re free to play with anyone, anywhere considering offcourse they are on the same server as you.
What About Cross Progression?
Even tho, Throne and Liberty have crossplay, it doesn’t have cross progression—at least not right now.
That means if you’re playing on, say, your PS5, you can’t pick up the same character later on your PC.
You’ll have to start from scratch with a new character on the new device.
A bit of a bummer, if you own multiple diffrent gaming system.
So, while crossplay makes teaming up with your friends easy, cross progression is something we’re still waiting on.
Maybe it’ll come in a future update, but for now, you’re locked into the device you started on.
So put this whole article in simple words – Throne and Liberty lets you squad up with anyone, anywhere—just make sure you’re on the same server! And if you’re hoping to bounce between devices with the same character…well, not quite yet.
