Imagine You’re knee-deep in Black Myth Wukong, with enemies closing in and your basic skills barely keeping you alive. What if, by a few moves well-placed, you would then be able to unleash a torrent of power that cannot be stopped, and turn the battlefield into your playground? You’re not here just to survive—you’re here to dominate.
And with Spells you can do just that.
Below is the list of all spells in the game and how to unlock them.
How to Unlock All Spells in Black Myth Wukong
So I’m thinking that you are wondering, “How many spells can I actually get?” Well, the game gives you six combat spells, but here’s the rub: not all of them are going to be dropped on you as you progress through the game
For Some of them you’re going to have to do extra legwork for—meaning side quests.
But don’t worry, because I will cover how to get each one of them.
How to Unlock Immobilize
Let’s start with Immobilize. This one is a freebie—you literally can’t miss it.
In Chapter One, you will run into the Bullguard.
Being a compulsory fight, after showing him who is boss you’ll automatically learn this spell.
Easy peasy!
How to Unlock Cloud Step
Next up is Cloud Step.
Well, with Immobilize, this spell is also unmissable.
You will get it after defeating Black Wind King in Chapter One.
This fight happens in a creepy, run-down temple – because where else would you find the king of the wind, right?
Defeat him and Cloud Step is yours, that actually helps you out if you have to face him again later in the chapter.
How to Unlock A Pluck of Many
Now, here’s where things get interesting. A Pluck of Many isn’t something you’re going to just trip over; you’ve got to go out of your way for this one.
In Chapter Two, head over to the Windseal Gate shrine and start looking around for the Headless Minstrel.
He is hanging out somewhere near some dunes.
Have a little chat—or whatever you call communicating with a headless guy—and bam, you’ve got the spell.
How to Unlock Rock Solid
If you’re a player who enjoys the hard counter-attack, then Rock Solid is going to be your new best friend.
You will pick this one up in Chapter Two after you take down the Tiger Vanguard.
The neat thing about the Rock Solid spell is that it’s basically a parry, so if you like to bait enemies and strike back, this spell will fit right into your playstyle.
How to Get Ring of Fire
Now, let’s really heat things up with Ring of Fire.
It’s one that’s a bit tricky in its acquisition.
You’ll need to progress through the game until Chapter Three and defeat the Macaque Chief—not once, but twice.
Then you’ll need to hunt down a nearby hermit who can teach the spell. Well, you see, that’s a little long-winded, but totally worth it.
How to Unlock Spell Binder
And now, for the grand finale: Spell Binder.
Buckle up, because this is the most complicated spell to unlock.
You will begin this journey in Chapter Three by finding a Monk at Bitter Lake. Before you can have anything to do with him, though, you’ll have to clear out all of the enemies in the area.
Then, go to the Tower of Karma. Then, following the Monk, when he mentions that he is getting a bit chilled, cast Ring of Fire on him to warm the guy up—yeah, we’re getting literal here.
Head forward to the Melon Field and get ready for another battle against the Monk.
Win it, and finally, Spell Binder is yours.
