The NoPSSDK Mod was pulled from Nexus by its creator after too much hype, and Sony wasn’t even involved.
God of War Ragnarok PSN bypass mod has been taken down, and it’s not because of any technical issues. The mod creator, iArtoriasUA, pulled the plug because it was getting way more attention than expected—and they didn’t want to risk poking the Sony bear.
So, what’s this mod about? Well, it was designed to help PC players dodge that pesky PlayStation Network sign-in screen that pops up when you try to play God of War Ragnarok.
The mod basically mimicked an offline mode by disabling the PSN account-linking requirement.
Sounds awesome, right? Except, even though it worked for some, a few players were still seeing the sign-in prompt.
But now, none of that matters, because the mod’s gone, and if you try to download it from NexusMods, you’ll just hit an error page.
Why NoPSSDK Mod is Taken down from Nexus?
When the mod vanished, people started speculating about why it disappeared.
Was Sony behind this? Did the mod break some kind of rule?
Well, NexusMods came to the rescue, sharing a screenshot of a chat with iArtoriasUA that clears things up.
Turns out, The creator pulled the mod because the attention got way too big, way too fast. When big news outlets start covering it, iArtoriasUA started to feel like Sony might notice, and they didn’t want to risk waking the giant.
They got nervous Sony might not appreciate the attention, even though the mod didn’t actually mess with any of the game’s content.
In their own words, iArtoriasUA explained, “The mod got too much attention… I thought it’d be better to remove it from public to avoid any potential threats from Sony.” And hey, I get it—better safe than sorry, especially when dealing with a giant like Sony.
They also clarified the mod didn’t mess with anything related to Sony products directly, but why take the risk, right?
So, for now, if you’re playing God of War Ragnarok on PC, you’ll just have to live with that PSN sign-in. Annoying? Sure. But it looks like this mod won’t be coming back anytime soon.
