There’s a fresh rumor going around that’s got some fans raising their eyebrows. And as per this rumor, the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI—you know, the game the entire universe has been waiting for—might actually be… a bit shorter than Red Dead Redemption 2 in one important way.
As you know, with GTA 6 being hyped as the biggest thing in gaming (and honestly, all of entertainment), expectations are through the roof.
So hearing that the game might not be as massive as we’d hoped? It’s kinda like expecting a whole pizza and getting just a slice.
Still tasty, but you’re probably going to ask, “Wait, is that it?”
Here is full version of the story
YouTuber Legacy Killa HD, who’s usually pretty in the know, shared this on X.
He says the Main story of GTA 6 is gonna be shorter than Red Dead Redemption 2.
Now, he didn’t get into the nitty-gritty details—so we don’t know how much shorter.
For a little context, if you’re not keeping score, Red Dead Redemption 2’s main storyline is a solid 50 hours. And that’s just if you stick to the plot and don’t go chasing every side quest or wildlife encounter.
In comparison, GTA 5‘s story wraps up in around 32 hours, and the original Red Dead? A breezy 18 hours.
So, if this rumor is true, GTA 6 might be more on par with GTA 5 in terms of story length.
But hey, 32 hours is still enough time to binge-watch a Netflix series and have an existential crisis halfway through.
But before you start feeling cheated out of your time, here’s the silver lining: GTA games aren’t just about the main story.
Where they really sink their hooks in is with the side content, and according to Legacy Killa HD, GTA 6 is going to have a TON of it.
We’re talking a massive world, with tons of side missions, sprawling countryside, and little towns to explore.
So yeah, you’re still going to lose an unhealthy number of hours living in this video game.
Oh, and if you’re into the whole action-movie vibe, you’re in for a treat.
Becouse some of the missions are inspired by the Fast & Furious movies.
So if you ever wanted to pull off a heist like the vault chase in Fast 5, GTA 6 might just scratch that itch.
I mean, who hasn’t thought about dragging a giant vault behind their car at least once, right?
Now, as for whether any of this is actually true? Don’t expect any confirmation from Rockstar just yet.
Becouse, we all know that Rockstar Games is known for keeping their lips tighter than a locked vault, so don’t hold your breath for confirmation anytime soon.
So What do you think? Would a shorter campaign be a dealbreaker for you, or are you here for the side quests and chaos anyway just like most of us?
I mean, 50 hours or 30, you’re still going to be hooked, right?
