What’s New in Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7: Evil Endings, Mod Support, and Exciting Tweaks!

Finally Larion hit us with Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7. It is packed with some seriously juicy content, as expected. We’re talking evil endings, mod support, and over a thousand fixes and tweaks.

Yeah, you read that right—over a thousand! It’s a hefty update, and if you’ve been waiting for Larian to deliver on all those teases, well, here we are.

If you’ve been keeping an eye on the community updates (like any good Baldur’s Gate fan), you probably already knew that Patch 7 was going to be a big deal.

The devs have been teasing us with new cutscenes that’ll give even darker conclusions to your more sinister playthroughs.

If you’ve ever wondered, “How much more evil can I be?”—this update is your answer.

Plus, the long-awaited modding tools have officially landed.

BG3 in Game Mods

Yup, if you have the skill you can start creating your own mods for this game.

The evil endings and mods were even teased during a PAX panel last weekend, and now, they’re finally here.

So, Here is breakdown of Patch 7.

The patch notes are longer than some novels, but here are the highlights in few words as possible:

  • Evil Endings: If being the villain is more your style, get ready for some fresh cinematic conclusions to those truly wicked playthroughs.
  • Mod Manager: Larian’s Mod Manager is now built right into the game, letting you browse, install, and mess around with mods straight from the community.
  • Split Screen Revamp: Playing co-op? When you and your buddy’s characters get close in-game, the screen will now dynamically merge together for a more seamless experience. When you wander off again, the screen splits back up. It’s a small tweak, but it makes the whole split-screen experience a lot smoother.
  • Modding Toolkit: For the more creative souls out there, Larian’s giving you a toolkit for modding. It’s a free app on Steam that helps you create and run supported mods. And don’t worry, Larian’s got a community update coming soon to walk you through the setup, so keep an eye out for that.

And well that’s just the big stuff!

There are also updates to honor mode combat, new legendary actions, and a ridiculous number of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.

Honestly, you might need a snack break halfway through reading all the patch notes.

For now, Patch 7 is only available on PC. Console and Mac players, don’t worry—it’s coming your way in October.

The devs just need a little extra time for some final checks to make sure everything runs smoothly on consoles.

Now, while Patch 7 is the last major content update for Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian has confirmed that it’s not the final update.

There are still a few more patches on the way, including some exciting stuff like crossplay and a photo mode.

But, as the devs themselves have said, we’re definitely nearing the end of the road.

During last week’s PAX West panel, Swen Vincke (the man himself) said it’s almost time for the team to “hang up the armor” and focus on their next big project.
